About Momo Gutierrez

I’m Montserrat Gutiérrez, but most people call me Momo. I’m a photographer from Veracruz, Mexico, now living by the sea in St. Petersburg, Florida. My love for photography began when I was little, inspired by my mom’s world in advertising and by a constant urge to observe, collect, and keep moments alive. At 16, I completed my first photography diploma, and since then, I knew this wouldn’t just be something I loved—it would be the way I tell stories.

I’m endlessly inspired by people, light, textures, and the poetry hidden in everyday life. Portraits are my safe place, where I can slow down and connect with someone’s essence, and where the tiniest gestures become art. Over time, my curiosity and love for creative challenges led me to explore beyond portraiture, stepping into commercial and product photography. Here, I discovered the beauty of blending my fine-art perspective with the identity of a brand—creating visuals that are not only aligned and strategic, but also deeply personal and evocative.

From soulful branding portraits to editorial fashion campaigns, from styled product shoots to full-menu food photography, I treat each project as a collaboration. Being multifaceted and camaleonic is part of my creative DNA—it allows me to adapt to different aesthetics, stories, and industries while still leaving a subtle imprint of my vision. Whether working with a bold, modern brand or a poetic, minimalist one, my goal is the same: to craft images that feel harmonious, intentional, and alive.

My journey has been shaped by moments that stay with me: seeing my work in national magazines like Noise Magazine, receiving recognition from SanDisk Latin America, being part of the Mirar Distinto Festival and the Bienal de Diseño, and being named one of the top 20 photographers in my region. But more than the titles or publications, what I treasure most are the people and stories I’ve met along the way.

Beyond the camera, I’m a lover of art history (currently studying it), the ocean, soft light, and anything that feels honest and beautiful. My work—whether for an individual, a couple, or a brand—is always an invitation to pause, feel, and remember.
